OMG HELP!? My kabuki brush fell in a glass of water!?
My new kabuki (specifically the wide buffer brush from coastal scents) fell into a full glass of water and turned upside down (where the feral and a 1/4 inch of the bristles submerged) and it bopped around. i got it out as soon as i could and hung it upside down over night to dry. Do you think it is now damaged/no good?
Okay let me clear the air. I'm not a spaz and I realize you are supposed to clean your brushes at least every 1-2 weeks. BUT you are NOT supposed to get water in the feral BECAUSE the water will gradually un-bond the glue causing shedding and eventually the brush rendered useless due to no hairs. this is why i was worrying. when you clean them you're not supposed to get water in the feral and such therefor the reason why you dry it flat or bristles downward. also this is brand new and it took 3 weeks to get here etc etc. im just letting everyone know my concern :/
yeah this one has a metal base/feral/handle
Since you let it dry out, it should be okay ... just be gentle with it and pay a close eye to where the feral meets the base (this is where wood rots at the easiest)
BUT if you have a plastic Kabuki ... it may just loosen the glue (if it comes detached, just use hot glue or super glue to reattach)
