pricing Acrylic and Oil paintings?
Why do artists charge less for Acrylic paintings and more for oil or water colour. is it to do with the medium or are oil and water more difficult to work with hence the higher price tag?
or could it be due to the fact that Acrylic is a quite new medium to work with compered to water or oil?

It comes down to art snobbery,,oils have and always will be taken a lot more seriously than acrylics,they are perceived as a student/amateur medium,they have a less mixable quality and don`t have the lustre that oils have,it`ll always be that way because the people who spend thousands on a painting want it in oils,
